These little aphrodisiac bites are a rich source of Vitamin C (strawberries), magnesium (cacao), potent antioxidants (matcha) and beneficial fats for improved mood and healthy hormone production (coconut oil and cashews).
Wonderful on their own as an anytime of day or as a post-dinner dessert. The recipe is meant to serve as a framework for kitchen alchemy and creativity, so feel free to add any specific adaptogens that you have in your home apothecary to achieve desired taste and benefits.
Matcha Dusted Strawberries & Cacao Butter Glaze
large bunch of fresh organic strawberries
1 cup raw cacao powder
2 heaping tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup raw cashew butter
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp lucuma powder
1 container Boketto Matcha, for dusting
Other optional garnishes for added nutrients & texture: shredded coconut, bee pollen, cacao nibs
In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil on low to medium heat.
Pour into a small bowl, adding in cacao powder, maca and lucuma. Stir until well combined, adding in more cacao powder as desired if you'd like a thicker chocolate coating.
Add cashew butter and stir until well combined.
Line a large baking pan with parchment paper. One by one, dip strawberries into cacao butter blend and place on baking sheet. For a double dose, go back and dip each strawberry again.
Dust lightly with matcha powder and place in the freezer to set. If serving immediately, remove from freezer once set, otherwise store in the refrigerator and strawberries will keep for up to one week.
