Recipe | Stress & Immunity Resilience Balls

Brainchild of our very own acupuncturist Nic Pitts, these vegan snacks are not only delicious, good any time of day, but have the added benefits of strengthening immunity and getting in front of stress. Power-ingredients include: Ashwaganda for tonifying the immune system and reducing anxiety (can also reduce blood sugar and cortisol levels!); Rose Water is both calming and cooling—also helps with PMS/menstrual cramps; Black Sesame Paste is a blood builder, which also helps with dizziness, headaches.

Ingredients

½ cup cashews
½ cup coconut flakes
16 pitted dates
½ teaspoon of each: ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove
2 tablespoons raw cacao
1 teaspoon ashwaganda root powder
1/4 teaspoon Dark Horse Black Salt
½  teaspoon: rose water
2 teaspoons Wadaman Black Sesame Paste

Directions

Throw 1/2 cup cashews into a food processor and pulse until course, be mindful to not over process. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until everything is well combined. Using your hands roll out 1-inch balls. If too sticky, a little water on your hands will help to form. Place on parchment paper and snack at will! Keeps in the fridge for up to 1 week.
