DERMAPLANE

 

Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure for your skin. Your esthetician uses a special instrument to shave away the uppermost layers of your skin.

Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars or other skin imperfections by revealing newer, undamaged skin. It can make your skin look younger by removing dullness and making sserums and moisturizers penetrate more depply. Some people also get dermaplaning for temporary facial hair removal.

ACU-LIFT (Cosmetic Acupuncture)
Cosmetic Acupuncture can enhance the production of collagen via micro-injury to the skin, increase blood flow, stimulate immune responses that reduce inflammation, and activate any number of functional points that have various responses, like reducing jaw tension or relieving anxiety. Though the complexion is typically the target area for results, the process utilizes acupuncture points around the face and body.  Acu-Lift requires booking a 90 minute, NEW Client appointment, first.

Heather is a Master Esthetician having worked in the skincare industry for 20 years. She has always enjoyed connecting with others and has an innate ability for growing trust and creating a comfortable space for her clients. Heather finds joy in building tailored holistic services and treatment regimens that yield real results.

Honing her skills for 10 years in NYC, Heather continued to grow her skillset in Austin, Texas. She’s grateful to be able to bring her experience and energy to the Richmond community as part of the inspiring practitioners at Boketto.

Meet Anne Payne

Anne is a board-certified licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician with over ten years of experience in the field of holistic care.
As an esthetician, she has been able to work with a plethora of skincare lines and has a vast knowledge of products, understanding components and ingredients and how they can affect various skin conditions— including nutritional therapies to assist in healing and nourishing the skin. Her ultimate goal is to assist her clients both internally and externally through slow beauty.

Meet Eve McDermid

Passionate about skincare, Eve is dedicated to helping clients achieve healthy radiant skin from the inside out. With over a decade of experience in esthetics, she specializes in a wide range of skincare and waxing services, and includes reiki (energy healing), aromatherapy, sound healing, and healing touch for a truly luxurious experience.

Eve’s goal is to not only treat skin issues, healing from the inside out, but also to educate and empower clients with knowledge about skincare practices that promote long term skin health.

GLOSSARY


Gua Sha
A naturally cooling and thoughtfully designed stone tool is used on the face, neck, and decoleté. Through the promotion lymphatic drainage the reduction of puffiness, and dark under-eye circles can be achieved. Expect improved blood flow, skin tone and definition.

Ultrasonic
Stimulates loose skin that lacks elasticity via high-speed oscillation— increasing collagen production in the skin for healthier vibrant looking skin.

Deep Exfoliation
An electric tool is applied to lighten dark spots, to help penetrate creams and serums, and aid in extracting blackheads and whiteheads. Improving skin texture & tone.

Microcurrent
During a microcurrent treatment, a fine current, strategically applied, fosters a healing environment and safely bringing tissues to a healthier function. Microcurrent organizes, strengthens and clarifies the fluid membrane balance, tonifying tissue and resulting in a more youthful appearance.

LED Light Therapy / Celluma
Low-level-light therapy or photobiomodulation is the application of light energy to the body for therapeutic benefits. It promotes a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen— the foundation of healthy, smooth skin.

Facial Reflexology / Dien Chan Zone
The Dien Chan Zone technique is deeply relaxing and produces skin with a healthy, radiant glow. A natural Botox effect is often achieved by relaxing facial muscles, and tightened skin by improving muscle tone.

Lymphatic Drainage
A form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.

Extraction
The process of clearing a clogged or compacted pore by manual or mechanical means.

Microbiome
An ecosystem of bacteria on the face or skin surface. When unbalanced, problems arise. When balanced, the skin looks vibrant and healthy.
