Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for your appointment. Your commonsense guide to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience!
Note: Some treatments have special prep. Be sure to read confirmation and reminder emails so you are informed and prepared.
How to Prepare for Your Appointment
1. Arrive Early
We recommend arriving at least 15-20 minutes before your appointment time. This gives you the chance to check in, unwind, and enjoy our serene environment before your treatment begins. It also ensures that you’re relaxed and ready for your spa experience.
2. Hydrate
Drink plenty of water before and after your treatment. Staying hydrated helps your body flush out toxins and keeps your skin looking fresh and glowing, especially after a massage or facial.
3. Shower Before Your Treatment
Taking a warm shower before your appointment can help relax your muscles and open up your pores, enhancing the benefits of your skincare or massage treatment. It also ensures that your skin is clean and free of any lotions or perfumes.
4. Wear Comfortable Clothing
Opt for loose, comfortable clothing that’s easy to change in and out of. This is especially important for massage treatments, where you’ll want to feel completely relaxed before and after your session.
5. Skincare Treatment Prep
-
Facials: If you’re coming in for a facial, try to avoid using any strong exfoliants or treatments like retinoids for 48 hours before your appointment. This ensures that your skin is not too sensitive during the treatment.
-
Waxing: Make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long for effective waxing. Avoid sun exposure and exfoliate gently a day before your appointment for the best results.
6. Massage Treatment Prep
-
Communicate Your Preferences: Let us know if you have any areas that need extra attention or if there are specific techniques you prefer. This ensures that your massage is tailored to your needs.
-
Avoid Heavy Meals: Try not to eat a heavy meal before your massage. A light snack is fine, but a full stomach might make it uncomfortable to lie down for an extended period.
7. Disclose Medical Conditions
If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or recent injuries, please inform us when booking your appointment and when you arrive. This helps our therapists customize your treatment to ensure your safety and comfort.
8. Switch Off Your Devices
To fully immerse yourself in the relaxation experience, we recommend turning off your phone and any other electronic devices. This is your time to disconnect and recharge.
9. Aftercare Tips
- Post-Facial: After a facial, your skin might be more sensitive. Avoid sun exposure, harsh products, and makeup for at least 24 hours. Focus on hydrating and nourishing your skin.
- Post-Massage: After a massage, drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the treatment. Take it easy for the rest of the day to let your body fully absorb the benefits of the massage.
10. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. This allows us to accommodate other guests and keeps our schedule running smoothly.
11. Payment and Gratuities
We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, and cash. Gratuities are included in the treatment price— except for Acupuncture, where gratuities are not accepted.
