Ayuervedic Bodywork

Ayurveda is centered on guiding clients to become more aware of how they are moving through the world, and how their world moves through them. Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine from India, and has been practiced for over 5,000 years. The Sanskrit term Ayurveda translates to the study or knowledge of life or longevity— the practice is rooted in getting to know the qualities of the five natural elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Through consultations and therapies, we’ll get to know how these elements and their qualities move through you, and determine how disease is prevented, formed or remedied. Note: Ayurveda services complement medical care, and isn’t to be used in place of advice from your doctor.

During this initial consultation, we’ll discuss your health history and full Ayurvedic examination. This is a non-invasive exam and can be done virtually. We’ll go over your diet, lifestyle, routine, previous medical history and functioning of body systems. Following the consultation, you’ll receive a holistic plan that promotes physical, mental and spiritual health. Herbal recommendations may be made.
