The potency of matcha resides in its unique antioxidant compound known as catechins, which provide numerous health benefits with regular consumption. Specifically, the ECGC content in matcha is known to reduce free radicals in the body and protect cells from oxidative stress. From a beautifying standpoint, this finely ground tea powder helps to protect our skin from harmful UV rays that may encourage skin pigmentation. If you have concerns about acne, fine lines and wrinkles, then you’ll likely love the effects of consuming matcha internally, although it conveniently doubles as a face mask.
Paired with additional beauty adaptogens (tocos and pearl) and energy supportive adaptogens (maca and cordyceps), this morning tonic provides grounding energy while promoting healthy aging and beauty from within.
Matcha Beauty Tonic
Serves one cup of potent, grounding energy
1 cup homemade hemp milk, or preferred milk
1-2 heaping tablespoons tocotrienols
1-2 teaspoons local raw honey
2 teaspoons Boketto matcha
1 teaspoon maca
1 teaspoon cordyceps
1/2 teaspoon pearl powder
If making homemade hemp milk, place 1/2 cup organic hemp seeds and 1 cup purified water into a high-speed blender and blend on high (no need to strain).
Add remaining ingredients and blend on high, then pour into your favorite morning mug (we recommend our in-house favorite, Humble Ceramics). Sip and enjoy as an uplifting daily ritual and grounding #bokettomoment.
