Women + Infant Bodywork

Touch is an important aspect in healing, especially through massage + bodywork. Our practitioner, Pasha Kat Yuen, aims to assist women & families to develop more stability in their mental and physical wellbeing through gentle manual therapies. Her infant practice supports babies through their transition to life outside of the womb, breastfeeding, and growing into strong and healthy infants.

REJUVENATING WOMEN’S THERAPY

With gentle manual therapies, we will address your concerns through evaluation and targeted work starting from the center of the body. The focus is on the abdomen which contains nearly all of the body’s major organs and affects immunity, digestion, mental health, circadian rhythms, reproductive health, etc. and so requires rejuvenation and maintenance like the rest of our bodies. Manipulation of the structures around the uterus and major abdominal organs, as well as the craniosacral system (the structures in and surrounding the brain, spine and sacrum) provides a foundation for the whole body to self-regulate and re-establish homeostasis. Your therapist will strategically work to soften and calm the body from the core while working with you towards whole body balance.

Sessions include warm herbal compresses, abdominal massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, stretching & targeted massage techniques to address the entire body, CBD cream, muscle balm, range of motion & fire cupping. This is an excellent starting place to evaluate your concerns and determine an appropriate treatment plan moving forward.

INFANT CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Infant CST is gentle manual therapy for newborns that removes restrictions, stimulates nerves, and helps to balance birth injury and non-injury related concerns many newborn infants experience. CST helps to normalize the baby's central nervous system and improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This helps to calm and soothe babies and may reduce or eliminate many newborn problems such as colic, latch or feeding problems, irritability, structural birth complications, tongue tie, Cesarean birth effects, and more.

MOTHER + INFANT CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Gentle therapy for those pregnant, preparing to give birth, recently postpartum and newborns. CST addresses breastfeeding concerns for mom and baby such as colic, latch or feeding problems, irritability, structural birth complications, tongue tie, Cesarean birth effects, and more. If your newborn or infant is experiencing gas, constipation, torticollis, gastric reflux, unexplained fussiness, flathead, hyper/hypotonia, teething, ear infections or any birth injury, this session can help to address baby’s concerns and address the parent(s) stress and tension as well. Session can be focused solely on baby (in utero or on the outside), on mom and baby together, or both parents and baby - as you adjust into life as a larger family CST can be a gentle facilitator to support those big changes.

PRENATAL THAI MASSAGE
A gentle and deeply relaxing session on the mat for momma-to-be. This session addresses the most common aches and pains for a pregnant person - releasing tension and encouraging space in the hips and low back, increased mobility in the neck and shoulders and focused attention on any target areas of discomfort. With plenty of support while laying on either side, this is a safe and trusted method of massage for those with child.
