Ritual: Oil Cleanse
Lipids dissolve lipids, thus to best cleanse your skin of excess sebum, dirt, and other grime, you want to use an oil. It may seem counter intuitive, especially to those who still cringe at the thought of using a moisturizer on blemish-prone skin, but fats are your friend!
Warm a nickle size amount of oil in your palms and then massage onto a dry face for two to four minutes moving towards your ears from the center of your face: across your forehead, cheeks, and chin. Stimulation is key so don't skimp on the massage! Take your time and relish the experience. We love the feeling of getting a mini facial every day!
Once you are done massaging in the oil, take a warm, damp washcloth and drape it over your face for a few seconds to steam your skin and open those pores. This will help you take the oil off completely without having to excessively wipe your face. When you've finished removing the oil you can then apply your serums and moisturizers but always finish with a toner to close the pores and lock in moisture!
