FEEL YOUR MOST VITAL WITH AN

Ayurvedic
Seasonal Reset

Welcome!

In Ayurveda, fall is considered a time when the Vata dosha, which is associated with air and space elements, becomes dominant. This means that as the weather cools and becomes less humid, the body may experience imbalances like dryness, anxiety, restlessness, and digestive issues. A reset for our digestive system can be particularly beneficial as we enter fall because it aligns with the natural shift in energy and environmental conditions.

In addition to my personal, guided support, Boketto will provide treatments to aid the body in removing toxins and bolstering immunity. This comprehensive, four week program also includes recipes, personalized Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle recommendations, mindfulness exercises including pranayama (breathwork), meditation and yoga nidraβ€” all in service to your sense of optimal vitality.

I share more, below. Read on and I hope you’ll join me.

OCTOBER 7 - 13, 2024

Introductory Phase

The introductory phase is for us to get to know each other. We will meet one-on-one at Boketto for an Initial Ayurvedic Consultation. This is typically a conversation that lasts between 90 minutes to two hours. Here we will discuss your goals, intentions for this Ayurvedic reset, health history, full Ayurvedic assessment including dosha analysis and pulse and tongue diagnosis. You will go home with an introduction to your dosha so you can begin to get to know yourself from this unique perspective, and tools for you to begin an Ayurvedic daily routine (dinacharya).

After you register you’ll receive an email inviting you to schedule your Initial Consultation. Initial Consultations will be scheduled from Tuesday 10/8 through Friday 10/11. Hours vary by date and time to offer morning, afternoon and evening availability.

OCTOBER 14 - 20, 2024

Preparatory Phase

On Day 1 of the Preparatory Phase, you’ll receive an email with your full Ayurvedic recommendations, plus your cleanse kit from Banyan Botanicals. This will be personalized guidance for you, based on your wellness goals and Ayurvedic consultation.

This week you will start off slowly, adapting to new diet and lifestyle practicesβ€” giving the mind, body and spirit time and grace in this transition. You can expect to receive some dietary changes and a few new routines to incorporate into your daily life, including phasing out caffeine, alcohol, other mind-altering substances, heavy fried foods, processed foods & sugars, and reduce your consumption of meats & non-veg foods.

You’ll also receive videos for at-home practices such as yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra.

During the preparatory phase, we encourage you to schedule with Jelena your first of four acupuncture treatments to support the body’s ability to adapt to changes. At Boketto, we will prepare your cleanse kit with all materials needed for making kitchari (for the next phase), as well as your customized herbs and oils for upcoming treatments.

On Sunday evening, October 20, we will meet at Boketto (exact time TBD). Here we can share tea, have group introductions and discuss questions and expectations.

OCTOBER 21 - 25, 2024

Cleanse Phase

This week you will begin your active cleansing. Depending on your schedule and digestive strength, you may opt for 1 day, 3 days or a full 5 days of eating only kitchari for lunch and dinner, and oats or other porridge for breakfast. Kitchari is a combination of split mung beans and rice, cooked fresh with spices and ghee and sometimes seasonal vegetables. Kayla will work together with you to determine which amount of time is most suitable. W suggest that you use this time to go inward, prioritize rest and slow down your commitments to outside obligations. Reducing stressful situations, excess work and other commitments this week is optimal.

You’ll also receive daily treatments to aid your body in the detoxification process. Monday you begin with Acupuncture, Tuesday through Thursday you receive customized Ayurvedic treatments, and to close the week, Acupuncture on Friday. The treatment schedule is designed for you to leave feeling completely renewed and rejuvenated, ready to welcome in the new season.

This section should describe what is a kitchari mono diet and why... I'd add how you are not meant to be hungry, and you should be, etc etc. You need to answer what you feel would be questions about the diet part.

OCTOBER 26 - NOVEMBER 5, 2024

Reintegration Phase

Feeling renewed, we encourage you to slowly begin to reintroduce seasonal, whole foods into your diet. It’s important to go slow, as you will be building your digestive strength and gut microbiome in a sustainable way.

You’ll be prepped with recipes and compatible foods for your dosha so you can enter this phase with confidence to nourish yourself fully. Kayla will also schedule a follow-up call so you feel supported the whole way through. From here, you can continue through the upcoming seasons with health, vitality and strong immunity.
