Christine Orr Ceramics
With consideration of the relationships we form with the objects around us, Christine invites its holder to consider how the things we make and use also carry with them the traces of our lives. In her objects, we find reflections of ourselves—quiet, enduring vessels that speak, not in words, but in the language of transformation. We hold a small collection of her cups, available in-store year round, plus will host a pop-up of a greater selection of her works December 15-17, 2024.
As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer brings these lenses of knowledge together to show that the awakening of a wider ecological consciousness requires the acknowledgment and celebration of our reciprocal relationship with the rest of the living world.
Dry brushing promotes lymphatic drainage, in turn enhancing your immune system, skin texture, and elasticity. But this brush exfoliates and stimulates like no other! The extra-fine ion-charged, high quality, copper bristles naturally create negative ions that protect your body from free radicals, while the molecular composition encourage the direct and immediate absorption of negative ions into your skin.
Amatta Skin set out to fill a niche in the market with their biodegradable, gel-based, sheet masks. Not only do they expertly target skincare concerns, but are cruelty-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free, and with no artificial fragrances. To further their dedication to the earth, they package all their face, neck and eye masks in biodegradable pouches.
La Lyra Whole Earth Candle is made with all-natural coconut wax with a harmonious vibe of phthalate-free sandlawood musk oil. Coconut wax is a wonderful alternative to soy and paraffin waxes because it is friendlier to our environment, free from toxic byproducts, and does not depend on the petroleum industry for production.
Diaspora Co. Chai Masala is the result of four years of sourcing from small, regenerative family farms across India and Sri Lanka— resulting in the dreamiest, spiciest cup of chai. Their Pumpkin Spice blend makes the best PSL and is perfect for pumpkin pie, but it also adds big flavor and autumnal warmth to just about any baked goods.
