The Boketto Custom Facial
Drawing from a wide range of facial techniques, tools, and know-how, our esthetician starts each treatment with a relaxing double cleanse and professional assessment. From there your facial will include working with one or a combination of the following: deep exfoliation, targeted masks, extractions, ultrasonic & microcurrent treatments, gua sha, facial reflexology and/or diet suggestions— all working in concert to deliver a visible transformation (oftentimes, in mind and spirit, too). The Boketto Sculpt & Lift
Gua Sha is a relaxing yet results-oriented technique that involves targeted stroking of the skin with a smooth-edged tool. Naturally cooling, Gua Sha aids in the reduction of puffiness and dark under-eye circles, improved blood flow and skin tone, promotes lymphatic drainage, and tightens pores. We call this facial Sculpt & Lift as the massage technique stimulates collagen production and circulation that visibly defines and returns elasticity to the skin. 

This treatment is great for those with mature skin, as well as for those looking for immediate looking results.  Those suffering from  hormonal acne or TMJ symptoms have also found relief from regular Gua Sha massage.

 Prolong or avoid a face lift. Microcurrent technology helps tone and tighten damaged skin. Even erases fine lines, wrinkles, and creases, lifts sagging jaw lines and widens the eyes by lifting the brows and tightening eyelids. Microcurrent is a low level electric current that matches your body’s own natural electric currents. It has been used in the medical field for over 60 years and is safe and free of harmful side effects.

Dermaplane

This method is used to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair, also known as “peach fuzz,” from the top layer of the skin. Often times, make-up and product can cling onto vellus hair— limiting the effect of make-up and skincare, often times causing unwanted beading, clumping, and a reduction in glow. This service allows the skin to better absorb product, as well as give the skin a natural glow due to the removal of dead cells.

 Meet Anne

Anne Dietrich is a board-certified licensed massage therapist and esthetician with over ten years of experience in the field of holistic care. As an esthetician, she has been able to work with a plethora of skincare lines and has a vast knowledge of products, understanding components and ingredients and how they can affect various skin conditions— including nutritional therapies to assist in healing and nourishing the skin. 
Anne is versed in Dermaplane, Microcurrent, Connective Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Facial Reflexology (Dien Chan Zone®) Gua Sha, and waxing + tinting. Her ultimate goal is to assist her clients both internally and externally through slow beauty. 


Meet Heather

Heather Micklos is a master esthetician having worked in the skincare industry for 20 years. She has always enjoyed connecting with others and has an innate ability for growing trust and creating a comfortable space for her clients. Heather finds joy in building tailored holistic services and treatment regimens that yield real results. Honing her skills for 10 years in NYC, Heather continued to grow her skillset in Austin, Texas. She is now grateful to be able to bring her experience and energy to the Richmond community as part of the inspiring practitioners at Boketto. 

 

 
Glossary 

  1. GUA SHA - A naturally cooling and thoughtfully designed stone tool is used on the face, neck, and decoleté. Through the promotion lymphatic drainage the reduction of puffiness, and dark under-eye circles can be achieved. Expect improved blood flow, skin tone and definition. This technique is also available as a virtual tutorial via Zoom.
  2. ULTRASONIC - Stimulates loose skin that lacks elasticity via high-speed oscillation— increasing collagen production in the skin for healthier vibrant looking skin.
  3. DEEP EXFOLIATION - An electric tool is applied to lighten dark spots, to help penetrate creams and serums, and aid in extracting blackheads and whiteheads. Improving skin texture & tone.
  4. MICROCURRENT - During a microcurrent treatment, a fine current, strategically applied, fosters a healing environment and safely bringing tissues to a healthier function. Microcurrent organizes, strengthens and clarifies the fluid membrane balance, tonifying tissue and resulting in a more youthful appearance.
  5. FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY - The Dien Chan Zone technique is deeply relaxing and produces skin with a healthy, radiant glow. A natural Botox effect is often achieved by relaxing facial muscles, and tightened skin by improving muscle tone. This technique is also available as a virtual tutorial via Zoom.
  6. LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE - A form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.
  7. EXTRACTION - The process of clearing a clogged or compacted pore by manual or mechanical means.
  8. MICROBIOME - An ecosystem of bacteria on the face or skin surface. When unbalanced, problems arise. When balanced, the skin looks vibrant and healthy
